Carrie Manning
After 25 years behind the chair as a hairstylist, Carrie Manning's path took an unexpected turn when she experienced a stroke. During her recovery, she turned to art as therapy, and what began as healing became a true calling. Today Carrie is a certified Art Therapy Practitioner and the founder of V.C. & Company Salon | Gallery, created to share her love and passion for the arts with the community.
Her mixed media abstract work is layered, expressive, and deeply personal, available as originals and limited edition prints. Her collection Blooming Through Chaos explores growth through difficult seasons, and her newest collection, Letting Go, is a series of Buddha head paintings in acrylic, oil, and oil pastel that explores stillness, release, and peace within.
Robin Ross
An impressionist painter and longtime art educator, Robin holds a BFA in Visual Design from Kent State University. Now rooted in coastal South Carolina, she captures the light and landscapes of the Lowcountry in luminous watercolor and alcohol ink, alongside acrylic and oil. A member of the American Impressionist Society, The Society of Bluffton Artists, and The Art League of Hilton Head, Robin offers framed originals and signed limited edition prints, matted and ready to frame. Robin also leads art classes at The Gallery.

Angel Mazzoni
A lifelong artist and teacher since 1999, Angel takes great pride in helping others develop their artistic abilities. A portrait and wildlife painter, she has happily called the Lowcountry home for 24 years. As she says, there's no lack of inspiring views around here! Her acrylic paintings celebrate the region's flora and fauna and are available as prints, coasters, and notecards. Angel also leads painting classes at The Gallery, where students of every level learn in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Missy Gentile
Missy is a Bluffton abstract artist whose expressive, emotion-driven work is held in collections internationally and has been featured in Art Business News and on the cover of PINK Magazine. Inspired by her time in Paris and her belief in human connection, she paints with vibrant color and energy, and she measures success by how a piece makes you feel. Her original mixed media work and matted prints are available in The Gallery, where she also leads our popular abstract painting workshops, which begin with one simple rule: there are no rules.
Valerie LeightyÂ
Valerie Leighty is the "V" in V.C. & Company. A hairstylist for most of her career, she worked side by side with her daughter Carrie for years before retiring from hair in October 2024. The two discovered pottery together after the pandemic, and Valerie hasn't stopped since. In retirement she has devoted herself to perfecting her craft. Her handmade work ranges from functional stoneware, like mugs in rich flowing glazes, scalloped serving plates, and nature-inspired leaf platters with twig handles, to whimsical garden pieces, gnomes, and something special for every holiday. Each piece carries the same care and artistry she brought to every client behind the chair.
